Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, The 1.06 Dungeons & Dragons (2008) As Derek Reese fights for his life, he experiences flashbacks to the, er, future and a time when his brother, Kyle, never returned after going on a mission with John Connor. Meanwhile, Sarah tells Charley about Skynet and Cameron prepares to dispose of the defeated Terminator. 5/10 The future-set segments instantly feel wrong and a future location that looks exactly like the present-day Resistance safe-house is a confusing and unnecessary production mistake. This jarring note is assuaged but it takes a good while for the flashbacks to become interesting. John Connor’s moral dilemma (whether to tell Derek Reese that he is his uncle) is not drawn sharply enough but it’s nice that it is there. Little nod to Terminator 2 co-scribe William Wisher as future Andy Goode’s assumed name is Billy Wisher. This Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, The episode contains gory and extremely unpleasant scenes, strong violence, extreme robot violence.
