Driven to Destruction (Test Drive: Eve of Destruction) PlayStation 2 video game mini-review – 8/10

★★★★★ ★★★

Rather charming destruction derby racing game with varied and cool race modes atmospherically presented with an absolute truckload of stuff to do in order to complete the game.

Classified 7+ by PEGI. The game is only suitable for persons who have reached the age of 7 or over.
Classified Fear by PEGI. Game may be frightening or scary for young children..

Brilliantly, you are given a paint mode to customise your car. Not brilliantly, you can’t paint all of it (for instance, to change it’s colour) and there is no undo, not many paint colors and not much accuracy. However, I am grateful for what is there. I bought myself an orange Fillmore which looks a bit like a Dodge Challenger… One General Lee flag and a 01 on the side later and I’ve got myself a “Dukes of Hazzard” General Lee. Yay!

Career Mode took be 11.2 hours to complete and was consistently fun though I do feel that I must add that just one Eve at a time was enough. Completing the Career Mode gives you a final video featuring one of Brian Carson’s most famous stunts (though he wasn’t in any of the other videos), opens Vengeance AI and shows the end credits. So, a good reward I feel.

  1. Hi! I’m a huge fan of this game and the soundtrack…
And I recommend this game to everybody who is a race fanatic..

Anyways, I have a question to you (or who every reads this)

Whats the name of the theme song? The song that plays over and over again in the
title menu [Action, Career, Options] ?
