Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, The 1.01 (2007, TV) – 6/10

Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, The 1.01 Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, The (2007)

Two years after destroying Cyberdyne, Sarah and John Connor has been moving around avoiding suspicion. Six months in one place and an engagement ring makes Sarah nervous about becoming complacent at their current location and so it is time to move once more. Landing in small town USA, John finds himself befriended by a super-babe classmate and not quite so befriended by a substitute teacher. Now the running starts again in earnest but the knowledge that the destruction of Cyberdyne didn’t prevent Skynet sentience means that a hard choice needs to be made.

6/10

Entertaining and solid enough (as long as you don’t pay too much attention) and while Thomas Dekker is good and Summar Glau is fine, Lena Headey as Sarah Connor and Owain Yeoman as a Terminator make you realise just how committed and excellent the performances of Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the feature films really were. I hope that the series comes to Headey as time progresses and the focus of the show settles down.

This Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, The episode contains extreme robot violence and obscured non-sexual nudity.
