House M.D. 5.03 Adverse Events (2008)

House and his team treat an artist with visual agnosia though House seems to be more interested in using his new Private Investigator buddy Lucas Douglas to dig up personal dirt on his co-workers.

Cool medical solution this week (a hair-ball) but the patient repeatedly skirting death is now ineffective and deeply irritating. The PI storyline is just bafflingly bizarre and a clear mistake. House needs to get off this treadmill and fast to ensure its survival as one of America’s top television shows. Olivia Wilde is looking more terrifying and surprised than ever and makes one wonder what it is that makes attractive women deliberately make themselves less attractive via cosmetic surgery or make-up decisions. You’d never think she was just 24. Curiously, the same thing happened to Jennifer Morrison so perhaps the make-up department has a thing for the much older (41) and consistently fabulous-looking Lisa Edelstein.

This House M.D. episode contains gory and unpleasant scenes and mild non-sexual nudity.
