Mentalist, The 2.01 Redemption (2009)

Jane is miffed when he and the team are taken off the Red John case but belatedly reels in his petulance to help investigate the murder of a woman in a motel who has stolen $1 million from her employer.

6/10

Light, agreeable fun but, as was clear last season, the Red John story thread simply isn’t needed and dragging it out or continuously reminding us it’s there will become a weakness. However, the great news is that this is very much more of the same with a jolly tone and bad people getting caught.

This Mentalist, The episode contains mild adult dialogue and unpleasant scene.
